The American Tan XXV Cabinet by Gary Hume for Giobagnara Art Edition gives imagery from his 2006–07 painting an architectural presence. Nappa leather is inlaid flush into aluminium across the tall exterior, allowing coloured forms and reflective metal to share a continuous surface. Slender aluminium legs lift the cabinet, lending lightness to its substantial vertical composition.

Opening the doors reveals a lacquered interior with drawers, glass and mirror, introducing another arrangement of surfaces within. Conceived for use as a bar or display cabinet, the piece brings an unusually close relationship between artwork and furniture into the home. Made in Italy in a numbered and signed edition of 12.
