The Margo Floor Lamp by Martino Gamper for Giobagnara carries the collection’s exploration of borders into a slender vertical form. Canaletto walnut uprights rise to support a lantern of leather-covered panels, whose curved openings reveal a frosted diffuser within. Shaped walnut details frame the leather, giving the lantern a carefully articulated outline.

Lacquered crosspieces punctuate the open structure below, introducing colour while preserving its sense of lightness. The leather’s fine texture and the walnut’s natural grain invite attention even when the lamp is unlit; illuminated, the diffuser brings a soft glow to the composition. Positioned beside an armchair or in a quiet corner, Margo offers a sculptural focal point, with enough openness to sit comfortably within the room.

Margo | Giobagnara x Martino Gamper

Created by Martino Gamper for Giobagnara Design Editions, Margo made its debut at Design Miami Paris in October 2026, as part of Curated Forms by Giobagnara. The collection brings an artist’s sensitivity to the meeting of materials. Its name derives from the Latin word for border: an idea explored through the edges and junctions where leather, Canaletto walnut and lacquered wood come together.

Gamper’s playful approach to geometry finds expression in carefully framed surfaces, sculpted corners and unexpected accents of colour. The natural grain of walnut lends warmth to compositions whose character changes with the chosen palette. Across furniture and lighting, each piece has a distinct sculptural presence, grounded in Giobagnara’s leather craftsmanship and the pleasure of everyday use.
